About the Role:
The Human Resources & Office Coordinator serves as the primary HR and administrative support professional for our Sacramento office. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources & Administration, this position partners closely with Sacramento office leadership to support employees throughout the employment lifecycle while coordinating and supporting day-to-day office operations and ensuring a welcoming, professional workplace.
What You'll Do: This role supports the HR department by overseeing general office and facilities activities, as well as providing administrative and Human Resources support with guidance from the corporate Human Resources Leadership Team.
Human Resources Support

Employee Relations: Assist with maintaining a positive work environment by responding to routine employee questions and directing more complex matters to Corporate Human Resources.

Onboarding & Setup: Coordinate new hire onboarding, workspace preparation, orientation, equipment set up, and 30-day follow-up activities.

Equipment & Supply Ordering: Request and order employee equipment and supplies once approvals are secured from Corporate HR, and the Finance Department.

Confidentiality: Protect sensitive employee details, records, and workplace matters with strict privacy and professionalism.

Recruiting Support: Assist with interview scheduling, candidate communications, reference checks, and other recruiting activities as assigned.

Leave Administration: Assist employees with routine leave and benefit paperwork while coordinating with Corporate Human Resources.

Culture & Employee Engagement: Assist with employee recognition activities, office events, celebrations, and initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture.
- Office Administration & Operations

Office & Facilities Management: Oversee day-to-day office needs, general supplies, and facilities upkeep to ensure an organized, professional, and efficient workplace.

Vendor Coordination: Assist in the coordination of office maintenance, repairs, deliveries, and vendor access.

Front Desk Assistance: Cover the reception desk as needed to welcome visitors and manage incoming calls.

Filing & Organization: Oversee file maintenance to ensure clean physical and digital filing systems for office records and correspondence. Off-site storage as well

General Admin Support: Handle routine clerical work, administrative tasks as requested.
- Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources, office administration, recruiting, or related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus
- Working knowledge of California employment laws, HR best practices, and employee confidentiality requirements
- Available to work in the office weekdays Monday - Friday, hours ideally 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft products
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to build positive working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgement, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures
- Dependable, Excellent interpersonal skills and oral communication, and punctual.
- Ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential employee and business information
- Experience with HRIS systems is preferred (Paylocity experience is a plus)
