Purpose of the position
As an Education Solutions Consultant, you will be a vital part of our mission to improve instructional outcomes with SMART solutions. Your duties will focus on developing the end-user customer base for SMART in California. Some of the specific duties will include:
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain sustainable relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders in the education sector.
Use SMART’s sales process to acquire new education customers.
Expand SMART solutions in defined education customers.
Develop relationships in strategic education consortiums, training centers, and DOEs.
Collect and analyze data to measure the impact of sales strategy and make necessary improvements.
Attend local and regional trade shows, seminars, conferences and customer events
Develop and implement professional development plans that align with instructional goals.
Deliver engaging and innovative PD resources to be used both in-person and virtually
Foster a thriving community of ambassadors by identifying, recruiting, and onboarding key education partners.
Engage an online community through connecting and posting on social media.
Work with SMART's marketing and product management teams.
Maintain records of activity, sales opportunities, and customer engagement to inform territory planning.
Operate at very senior levels within complex customer organizations with multiple decision makers.
Skills Required
Ability to present in front of large groups with the confidence and knowledge of both hardware and software as presentation tools.
Outstanding interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team environment that consists of the Pod Director, Regional Education Manager, Area Manager, Area Representative, and Demand Generation Manager.
Strong working knowledge of SMART’s products and the ability to learn new SMART solutions as they are introduced.
Knowledge of, or readiness to learn about the Education Technology industry and trends.
Strong education and sales acumen.
Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency with technology.
Must be a self-starter and can learn new skills independently.
Strong ability to analyze and solve problems.
Education and work experience
Degree in business, education, or a related field
At least two years of experience in education or sales for technology-driven business
Proven aptitude for developing relationships with key decision-makers
Supervision provided and received
The Education Solutions Consultant is a field-based position working independently with the guidance and direction of the Regional Education Manager.
The Regional Manager will have weekly-1-1 meetings and travel in the field throughout the year.
Quarterly and Annual Performance Reviews
Working conditions
Successful candidates must be able to work independently from a home office with the ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
Successful candidates must have a valid passport, or ability to get one, and have the ability to travel to Canada.
Successful candidates must pass all district level background checks to work in the k-12 environment.
Candidates residing in the Bay Area would be an asset
