About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager – Land Development to lead private land development projects from planning through construction. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed California Professional Engineer (PE) to join a growing civil engineering consulting firm with a clear path to future office leadership.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing residential, commercial, and mixed-use land development projects while working closely with clients, municipalities, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage private land development projects from initial planning through final construction.
• Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and staffing plans.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with city, county, and regulatory agencies to obtain project approvals and permits.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, designers, surveyors, and planners.
• Review engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports.
• Monitor project financial performance and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
• Support business development and maintain strong client relationships.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Active California Professional Engineer (PE) License (Required).
• 10+ years of Civil Engineering experience.
• Proven experience managing Private Land Development projects.
• Experience with residential, commercial, mixed-use, or subdivision developments.
• Strong knowledge of California permitting processes and municipal agency coordination.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
