Recycling and Waste Intern – Part Time - Elk Grove

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
SKILLS:
Internship working with local jurisdictions to educate the public in recycling programs and help develop future recycling programs. Hands on meeting and greeting with the public for future outreach programs. Assist residential and commercial customers with recycling and waste protocols. Help with design and development of publications for web, print or mail, promote environmental policy and work with jurisdictions for public awareness of recycling programs and resources available to the residents. Help build communication between jurisdiction and community to build awareness of recycling and waste programs.
Preferred experience/courses taken:
- Marketing
- Environmental Studies
- Public Administration
- Communications
- Business Administration
- Graphic Design
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
SKILLS:
- Are highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges
- Possess excellent communication skills essential for team-based working
- Have effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills in meeting with municipal representatives.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Working towards bachelor’s degree Environment Studies or Sustainability
COMPENSATION: SAFEbuilt pays competitive wages and has a strong 401K
Salary Range: $25.00 - $28.00 hourly
