Job Summary

The Custodial Technician is responsible for executing all tasks associated with keeping a clean, well-stocked facility interior and exterior.

Essential Functions

  • Mix, dilute, use, and dispose of approved cleaning solutions in accordance with all state and local regulations
  • Maintain orderly supplies and ensure that all tools are clean and properly functioning
  • Sweep, mop, and/or vacuum floors and wipe surfaces frequently throughout shift in order to maintain the appropriate level of cleanliness required for a GMP manufacturing environment
  • Remove and dispose of cannabis and non-cannabis liquid and solid waste and recycling in accordance with all state and local regulations
  • Restock essential PPE, gowning (scrubs, etc.), and cleaning supplies
  • Perform minor facility repairs as directed by supervisor
  • Interface with pest control and facilities supplies vendors as needed
  • Complete cleaning logs as required
  • Alert supervisor of potential safety, cleanliness, or supplies stock issues

Basic Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to use basic cleaning tools and equipment
  • Able to respond to urgent custodial requests in a timely manner
  • Able to work weekends and non-standard shifts as needed
  • Excellent communication and diligent documenting skills

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Working Environment

This job operates in an industrial GMP manufacturing environment. The working environment may include exposure to outdoor environmental conditions in order to perform general custodial tasks. The employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment including clean room garments such as scrubs.  The employee must be able to walk throughout the campus to perform assigned duties. This position may also require kneeling, sitting, crawling and maneuvering around operational equipment.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to push, pull, and maneuver custodial tools and equipment.  In addition, the employee is required to pick up, transfer, and dispose of cannabis and non-cannabis solid and liquid waste.  This position requires bending, stooping, reaching, and stair and ladder climbing.
